
WARREN NEIDICH
Warren Neidich was the keynote speaker who closed the day
of presentations and disscusions around the posthuman condition but from a
neuroaesthetic perspective.

Warren Neidich
is an artist who works and lives between New York City and London. His interdisciplinary
work explores the relationship between art, culture, society, mind and brain.
Currently, a visiting artist in the Department of Visual Arts at Goldsmiths
College, London. Recently awarded the Arts Council England – Arts
and Humanities Research Board science and art fellowship. He a co-recipient
of the Madrid Abiero Public Sculpture Competition and his paper Controlling
Consciousness was accepted for the first Visual Studies Conference, also
in Madrid. Future projects include one-person exhibitions at the Edward
Mitterand Gallery, Paris; Burea Freidrich, Berlin; and the Micheal Steinberg
Gallery, New York. His book Blow-up: Photography, Cinema and the Brain,
co-pusblished by the Ford Foundation and DAP with an introduction by the
art historian Norman Bryson has recently been released. Warren is a co-founder
of Artbrain
– a web site that publishes art, writing and films that concern brain
and culture.
